RE: Maybe I was too harsh

That's like the sales person who replied to an email we had sent to them with a list of what we were looking for in an RV. One of our requirements was that it have an aluminum frame (sidewalls, etc). He wrote back telling me that it didn't matter if it was aluminum or wood...Wrote him back and in no simple terms told him that if aluminum was what we wanted, it did matter! His gen. mgr. wrote us back telling us that wasn't what he meant, yada, yada, yada, and if I'd tell her what I was looking for she'd be glad to help us...Well, hello, we had sent him an email with the specifics of what we were looking for in the beginning. Guess he deleted it. We didn't even give her the courtesy (???) of acknowledging her email and needless to say, they were immediately taken off my shopping list!

Camping in SE Oklahoma other than Beavers Bend/Hochatown

I love Beavers Bend but the campsite can be crowded. Does anyone know of other campgrounds in that same area? We would love to be on the river and we have dogs(2 labs)that go with us. (I know, beggars can't be choosers, but it never hurts to ask!)

RE: Wisconsin State Parks

Texas State Parks, too, have a daily, per person fee in addition to the camping fee. We purchase the annual Park Pass which pays for itself in one or two camping trips. They cover everyone in your vehicle and are good for one year, not just the calendar year. (You can actually get 13 mo use out of them if you purchase them at the beginning of the month you're going to first use it and then it doesn't expire until the end of that same month the following year.) Go to Texas State Parks for all the info you will need!

RE: Hood vent do you have one?

These are not only in the RV industry. My sister had a recirculating one in her house. And it did have the charcoal filter in it. When it was on the returned air hit me right in the face! Thankfully, ours at home and in the RV is vented outside, but it was something I checked before we bought. Make a note for when you purchase your next RV (and you will;)) that you want one that vents outside.

RE: No junk mail?

This may not apply to RV junk mail, but the next credit card junk mail you get, look on it real closely and there should be an 800-opt-out. (I know that's not all of it, not enough numbers) but you can call that # and get off a lot of junk mailers lists. You do have to give your SS#, but our junk mail has cut down considerably. Do it for everyone in your household and all mailing addreses you have.

RE: This will eliminate a lot of weight

We have a good friend at church who is loosing his sight and needs large print and thought this might be something he'd like and could use. Does anyone know if the Bible is a choice to buy to download? I've sent him the info about these but was wondering about the Bible. Thanks!

Our friends call theirs Miss Know It All. We don't have one yet but after reading these posts may have to get one just for entertainment although I'm afraid I might have a wreck if I laugh as much while in the truck as we did reading your posts!!!

RE: Black-eyed Peas

Just for the two of us I use the ones in the can (Bush's brand) with bacon. They are great with pork chops, kraut, sliced tomatoes, some onion, and cornbread!

RE: SamsClub Diesel Fuel

Maybe their fuel stations are like Wal-Mart and run by another company. You can get 3 cents off gas and fuel at Wal-Mart (Murphy USA)if you have $$ on a WM gift card and/or a WM credit card, which about what the price of gas is at a Sam's Club station in this area.

Fire Escape ladder - do you have one?

And if so where did you get it? I told DH if I had to use the bedroom exit window, I would end up with a broken leg or worse! Although, I realize this is better than the alternative in case of a fire, I think I'd feel better having the ladder handy.
